Setting up of a Mangrove crab aquaculture farm within the MMR

Are mangroves wastelands waiting to be converted to real estate? Should the local fishermen undertake the protection of mangroves or not? What could possibly motivate them to do so? To answer these queries, TerraNero was granted a research project by the MMR-EIS to ascertain the most suitable location for setting up a mangrove aquaculture farm within the mangroves – the purpose being a win-win situation for the fisherfolk as well as the environment.
